Saving your pairs
Photos
Photo pairs save automatically to Apple Photos after capture when permission and storage are available. If saving needs attention, follow the recovery message in PairTake.
Videos
After recording, review the pair and tap Save Both. Use Done when it becomes available. Unsaved finished videos stay in protected app storage so you can save or discard them later.
Do not delete the app while you have unsaved captures. Removing the app also removes its local recovery files.
Camera and video quality
PairTake requires iOS 26 or later and an iPhone with a supported camera combination. Lens choices, resolution, and frame rate depend on the cameras working together. A camera may support higher quality when used on its own.
If 4K is unavailable, open the resolution or frame-rate menu and choose About Video Quality for an explanation of the current combination.
If capture is interrupted, return to PairTake and follow any recovery message. Camera capture requires the app to be in the foreground. Check Settings → Help & Support → Camera or Recording for more help.
Permissions and missing media
- Camera: enable access in iPhone Settings to use the live views.
- Microphone: needed when Record Sound is on for video.
- Photos: add access saves captures. Reading your Photos library is requested when you open PairTake Library; limited access is supported.
If a saved pair is unavailable, check Photos access, whether its files still exist in Photos, and whether an iCloud download needs a connection. Use the available Retry or Settings action before removing a missing pair from the library.
