No data collected by the app
PairTake Camera, developed by Zach Holt, does not collect personal data from the app or upload your camera feeds, photos, videos, or audio to a developer-operated server. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs, or tracking. We do not sell your personal data.
What stays on your iPhone
PairTake processes camera frames and captures on your device. It stores capture preferences and a local pair index containing Photos asset identifiers, dates, formats, and durations so related files can be shown together.
Photo pairs save automatically to Apple Photos after capture when saving succeeds. Completed video pairs remain in protected app storage until you save or discard them. Unsaved photo and video recovery files are excluded from device backups.
Permissions
- Camera: live previews and photos or videos you choose to capture.
- Microphone: audio when Record Sound is enabled for video.
- Photos: adding captures, and viewing or managing saved pairs when you grant library access. Limited library access is supported.
- Motion: device orientation and the camera level. This information is processed locally.
These permissions enable on-device features; they do not give the developer access to your media.
Apple services and sharing
Media saved to Photos may sync through iCloud Photos according to your Apple settings. PairTake may ask Apple Photos to download an iCloud-backed asset when you view it. Apple manages these services under its own privacy policy.
If you use the system share sheet, your selected destination handles the files you choose to share under that service's policies. Apple handles the app purchase; PairTake does not receive your payment card details.
Your choices and deletion
You can change Camera, Microphone, Photos, and Motion access in iPhone Settings. You can turn Record Sound off in PairTake and choose which Photos assets are accessible when using limited access.
You can delete saved media in Apple Photos or use PairTake's available deletion actions and confirmation prompts. Discarding an unsaved capture deletes its local recovery files. Uninstalling PairTake removes its app data and unsaved recovery files; files already saved to Apple Photos remain there until you delete them separately.
There is no PairTake account or developer-hosted media archive to delete.
Support emails and this website
If you choose to email support, we receive your email address and anything you include so we can respond and troubleshoot. Send only the information you want us to receive. You can request deletion of your support correspondence by emailing the address below.
These support and privacy pages use GitHub Pages hosting. We do not add analytics, advertising, cookies, or third-party fonts to the PairTake pages. GitHub may process technical request information when you visit, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
